Summer 2025 Product Update
Highlights from our Summer 2025 Product Update Webinar, including onboarding automation, AI tools, and new candidate sourcing features.
The Team Engine Summer 2025 Product Update webinar brought exciting announcements about new candidate sourcing features, a closer look at the onboarding module in beta, and insights from our leadership team on how AI and automation are shaping the future of hiring and workforce management.
If you missed the live session, here’s a recap of the highlights.
Expanding Applicant Sourcing
Recruiting remains at the heart of Team Engine, and this quarter’s updates focused on helping you reach more candidates.
What’s new:
- LinkedIn Sponsored Ads: Post and manage ads directly from Team Engine, just like you already do with Facebook and Instagram. These newsfeed ads target passive candidates based on keywords, location, and industry interest.
- JobGet Integration: Jobs are now automatically posted to JobGet, often referred to as “LinkedIn for the trades.”
- ZipRecruiter Expansion (coming soon): Manage and sponsor ZipRecruiter ads directly within Team Engine.
Team Engine CEO Carlos del Pozo emphasized the bigger picture of these updates:
We’re surfacing more information beyond just applications (like impressions and visits to your job ads) so you can see where visibility is happening. That data helps you optimize titles and descriptions to convert views into applicants.
Other sourcing improvements:
- Job Title Validation Tool: Uses AI to ensure compliance with Indeed’s rules and suggest better alternatives.
- Internal Job Identifiers: Keep track of similar job postings without confusing your team.
- Posting Date Visibility: See when a job was last activated to prevent stale listings.
- AI Job Description Suggestions: A long-standing feature that remains critical for compliance and writing compelling postings.
AI-Powered Messaging & Translation
To keep communication moving, especially during busy seasons, the Team Engine mobile app now includes AI-powered language translation. This ensures fast, clear communication across multilingual teams. The app is available for iOS, Android.
Introducing the Onboarding Module
The most anticipated update of the webinar was a first look at the Team Engine Onboarding Module, currently in beta. This new module automates parts of onboarding paperwork and communication so new hires arrive on day one ready to work.

Features include:
- Day-One Document Collection: automate I-9 and W-4 prep
- Offer Letters via Text: send and collect e-signatures by SMS
- Background Checks: initiate directly within Team Engine
- Customizable Checklists: automate required steps while tracking manual ones
- E-Signature Support: for handbooks, policies, and other documents
The standout feature is the AI Onboarding Assistant:
- Engages with new hires over text to collect necessary form information
- Validates data (e.g., verifying addresses against USPS database)
- Answers common questions about forms
- Securely stores information in the employee’s profile
Carlos shared why this is a milestone:
Onboarding is our first real application of agentic AI. That is, AI that actually does things for you. It sets the stage for a whole lot more we can do to take work off your plate.
Security & Compliance
We reinforced our commitment to data protection:
- All onboarding data is stored securely.
- SOC 2 audits validate adherence to gold-standard security practices.
- Documents can be downloaded, printed, and stored to meet compliance requirements.
Two-Way Calendar Sync & Self-Scheduling

Interview scheduling is about to get a whole lot easier with our upcoming two-way calendar integration:
- Sync interviews, phone screens, and start dates across your personal or work calendar.
- See real-time updates for cancellations and reschedules
- Applicants can self-schedule interviews via text, cutting down on back-and-forth.
Danny Laurence, VP of Engineering, noted that the first version will support day- and manager-based customization, with flexibility to expand based on customer feedback.
Looking Ahead
Speaking of customer feedback, we're committed to continuous improvement, with a roadmap focused on deeper AI applications and better adaptability for field-based industries. As Product Marketing Manager Reubie Bolton explained in her closing remarks, the product team is doubling down on AI, with more tools and features already in the pipeline to help customers move faster, work smarter, and get more done.
She also encouraged attendees to connect with their customer success leaders to build a strategy for using AI in their own accounts today. By reviewing what’s already available and sharing feedback on what’s still needed, customers can shape the next generation of tools. “We’d love to hear how you’re already using AI and what you’d like to see from us down the line,” she noted.
