Hiring for Multiple Locations in Different States

When Brittani joined SunCup Juice as HR Generalist in 2021, her goal was to streamline outdated processes. Most HR functions were still on paper, and hiring was inefficient, with each location handling staffing and relying heavily on agencies. A Newly Defined & Centralized Process

One key improvement was establishing Brittani as the single point of accountability to keep the hiring process moving. She now manages all job postings and reviews applicants qualified by Team Engine. Brittani sends a weekly email to each plant manager with candidates for their location. They select their choices, and she schedules interviews through Team Engine. After interviews, plant managers provide updates on hires and feedback on those they pass on, which Brittani logs in the system.

Though Team Engine allows for additional users, Brittani prefers to manage the process herself. This ensures the platform is properly updated, provides better recruiting data, and saves time for the Director of Operations and plant managers. Ultimately, this approach gives her more control and speeds up hiring.

Increased Hiring Speed & Greater Candidate Reach

Familiar with the benefits of texting from a previous role, Brittani quickly integrated Team Engine's text messaging tools into their hiring process. This small change significantly reduced the time to hire, as applicants now respond much faster.

"Before Team Engine, we relied on phone calls and emails, which often led to delayed or no responses. Now, we hear back within an hour or by the next day at most," Brittani noted.

Brittani also appreciated Team Engine's automatic job posting distribution to major boards, expanding their reach. Previously, ZipRecruiter's limitations constrained the number of active job postings, but now they can continuously recruit for all positions, attracting qualified candidates around the clock.

"The text communication has been very well-received by new hires, who find it quick and user-friendly. It helps us make a great first impression," Brittani added. This improvement has led to faster hires, better candidate quality, and reduced reliance on temporary labor.

Before Team Engine, Brittani relied on paper memos attached to check stubs for HR communications, which were time-consuming and inefficient across SunCup Juice’s four states.

"Printing memos was cumbersome, wasteful, and there was no way to ensure everyone saw them. Team Engine has solved these issues and allows us to communicate more effectively about performance reviews, stay interviews, and culture updates," Brittani explained.

Employees appreciate being able to text HR directly, especially those at remote locations or new facilities where management is still learning policies. This direct communication reduces the need for back-and-forth between HR and employees.
