Based on interactions and requests from customers, we’ve recently deepened our offerings in this realm and broadened the situations in which they can be used, including:
- Enabling customers to tailor types of automated messages by group (ex: for full-time vs part-time employees),
- Allowing customers to determine how far in advance of an event they’d like to receive a message, ex: being notified of an employee’s work anniversary the day before so you’re prepared to congratulate them when they walk in the door
- Giving customers control over the time of day of send across time zones so that messages are received at the best time for recipient engagement, ex: at the very beginning/end of the workday or during a break

Controlling Time of Send Across Time Zones
Customers will soon be able to control the time of send across time zones so that messages are received at the best time for recipient engagement, ex: at the very beginning/end of the workday or during a break.

Sending Separate Automations by Employee Group
Team Engine users can now set up automated messages by employee groups. This helps segment communications so that the right message goes to the right people (and no one else).
One way this could be used is for communicating benefits messages, which may have different eligibility requirements for full-time, part-time, and contract workers. Another way could be to send different first-day messages to in-office and field based employees using location-based groups. But really, your options (and use cases) are endless!

Receiving Notifications Before an Event
This is useful for managers who would like to receive notification a few days before an employee’s start date or birthday, so they can prep a card, gift, or event.
To schedule an automated message to send before a particular date, use the options at the top to set the time frame, and expand the “Additional Settings” to send the notification annually.
